The U13 division is semi-competitive where scores are kept and league standings will be kept based on earned points. Division league (or tournament) winners and runner-ups will be awarded trophies.
Running up of scores is forbidden. Once the goal differential in the game has reached 4 goals (e.g., 4-0, 5-1, etc.), additional goals scored by the leading team will NOT be added to score. If the trailing team subsequently scores goals, then any goals scored by the leading team after the goal differential is less than 4 will be counted up to the point where the differential reaches 4 again.
Earned league points will determine league standings, if being used. Game winners will be awarded 3 league points. In the event of a tie both teams will be awarded 1 point each. Overtime is not played for league games. Losers receive 0 points. A first or second place tie in league points at the end of the season will follow the Optimist Soccer League Standing Tie-breaker policy.
At the end of the season there will be a round robin tournament.
All current IYSA and Club rules are to be followed for game play.
Indirect and direct kicks are used in the U13 division and offside will be enforced.
Games will consist of two 30 minute halves.
All players must be played a minimum of 1/2 of the game.
The U13 division will use a size 4 soccer ball.
The U13 division will play 9v9. If one team cannot field 9 players, the opposing team will match down. No team may participate in a game with less than 7 players. If one team cannot field 7 players within 10 minutes after scheduled game start time it will forfeit the game. Any forfeited game will not be rescheduled. The score of a forfeited game will be 1 – 0. If neither team can field at least 7 players, both teams will forfeit and no score or seasonal points will be awarded to either.
Teams are to utilize a separate sideline from fans and family as a bench area.
